THE PLAYER
NAME/ALIAS : Prudence. Pru is fine.
EMAIL : dearprudencecomeplay@gmail.com.
AIM : forthelolcat.
ACTIVITY : I'll be online every few days, so the requirements aren't a problem.
EXPERIENCE : I play Nymphadora Tonks Lupin and Amelia Bones here! Past experience can be found at lmaobitchplz@ij.

THE CHARACTER
CHARACTER NAME : Naida Jugson née Haywood.
AGE/BIRTHDAY : 65 years old/4 October, 1955.
WAND : 12", maple tree, occamy eggshell core.
BLOODLINE : Pureblood.

WHY NAIDA : I liked the idea of playing a Death Eater's wife.

WHAT IS ON THE LEX : Absolutely nothing, but she is the OC wife of Braeden Jugson.

CHARACTERS SHE WOULD INTERACT WITH : Braeden Jugson, Narcissa (Black) Malfoy, Lucius Malfoy, Dorian Jugson, Alethea Jugson, Severus Snape, Jacob Yaxley, basically a lot of the DEs as well as their wives, specifically.

PLAYED BY : Olivia Wilde.

SEXUAL ORIENTATION : Heterosexual and married.

PERSONALITY : Upon a first impression, Naida seems like an attractive, modest and polite woman. She knows her place in society and tends to not push boundaries. She knows who is prominent and who is not, but she tends to not treat them any differently, when you really look at it. She knows flowery language and uses it when it is necessary and expected, but she also treats other people with genuine generosity and kindness. Blood makes no difference to her, and she's never tried to hide that.

A large shortcoming of Naida's, though, is her ability to turn a blind eye when she probably shouldn't. Though Braeden was wise to not tell her exactly what he was doing, her ability to perceive what was happening to the man she loved and connect that to what was happening in society was not inhibited. She chose not to address it, but she always knew that was wrong, and she forced herself to not see it. If anything, she saw it as Braeden's way to deal with the terrible past he'd lived through, but in the end, all the love she gave him could not heal his wounds. She felt like a sinner, because if she'd turned in her husband, there were people who probably would have lived instead of dying by his wand. Yet she kept her silence, even when Braeden returned to her after his time in Azkaban. He was a changed man, and yet she still loved him and could tell that he loved her. She just didn't know how to break the cycle.

She's clever, witty and generally quite honest. She is affectionate to those she is close to and polite to the rest. Her general manner is courteous and pleasant. She's not afraid to get her hands dirty, and she is quite skilled at Charms still, as she did publish quite a few books on the subject. Naida is also quite curious and still studious. She speaks well and encourages debates and discussions.

FAMILY : FATHER : Benson Haywood. Naida always tried to be close to him and made his interests her own. Each time he arrived home from work, Naida was more or less attached to his side.
MOTHER : Laura Haywood née Polley. She loves her mother, though they've had a distantly affectionate relationship.
SISTER : Beatrix Aleshire née Haywood. Naida always felt as though the two were in a competition, but she herself accepted the losing side since she felt Beatrix would always win.
BROTHER-IN-LAW : Eckehard Aleshire. It's a pleasant relationship, though Naida finds him rather dull.
NIECES : Adele and Judith Aleshire. She adores them and tutored them during their pre-school years and during summer holidays.
HUSBAND : Braeden Jugson. Naida would never give her heart to another. She truly loves and is devoted to him.
SON : Dorian Jugson. He makes her proud, as he took the position of the man of the house without much complaint.
DAUGHTER : Alethea Jugson. Naida is closer to her than she is to Dorian. She thinks Alethea is a lot like her and has quite a lot of potential.

PERSONAL HISTORY : The family that Naida was born into was one that was not incredibly well-known in the wizarding world. Despite that, they were in good standing. Naida was Benson and Laura'a second daughter and as such, she spent a great deal of her youth in the shadow of her sister. The family was loosely traditional. Benson spent the majority of his time at work while Laura kept the house. She showered her eldest daughter with praise and affection. Naida was by no means neglected, but she hardly received her attention the way that Beatrix did. Naida could not blame her mother, as she did admire her older sister, despite Beatrix's somewhat obnoxious nature. And so instead, Naida grew attached to her father and made his interests her own.

Naida tended to take more of an interest in her studies from an early age. It was something that she was good at, as Beatrix was more comely, pleasant and presentable. Naida had her finer points, though, and she grew to learn how to become a hostess and proper pureblood daughter. She followed Beatrix to Hogwarts and was sorted, unsurprisingly, into Ravenclaw. It was then that Naida was introduced to muggle culture, and she hardly knew what to do. But as she was a flexible sort of person, she was eager to learn about the world she didn't know and wasn't a part of. She took a very genuine interest and learned all that she could, and by the end of her time at Hogwarts, she was seen as a rather well-rounded individual. She knew her place when speaking to people from the more prominent wizarding families, as she tended to interact with them at social events during holidays, and she'd even grown quite close to some. She was very polite and modest and also very clever. During her schooling, she found she had a natural talent for Charms. They intrigued her and she spent a great deal of her time researching them, and occasionally Professor Flitwick would recommend people see her for tutoring. She also did well in Care of Magical Creatures, which she took because, if nothing else, Beatrix despised it. It was through that class that she met and worked with Severus Snape.

Beatrix was already married and had one daughter by the time Naida graduated in June of 1974. Beatrix married well and never planned on taking a job. But Naida wanted to do something with her life besides get married. Since she tended to do well with children, her mother volunteered her for the pre-school education of her younger relatives. It was something she tended to take pride in.

She was extremely embarrassed when her parents brought Braeden over for dinner one night. She had no interest in marriage, mostly because she figured she would never marry. But unlike other gentlemen that her mother had forced her to talk to at social gatherings, she did enjoy her conversation with Braeden. He was handsome, charming and intelligent, and so Naida naturally assumed that the package was too good to be true. She never meant to offend him and was quite honest when she thanked him for putting up with her parents. He seemed rather shocked and determined to prove that he was speaking to her in earnest, and she saw nothing wrong with accepting his invitation to tea. She figured that would be the end of it. There were several tea meetings, and lunches and dinners as well. She grew to greatly like his company and, without a doubt, she fell in love with him. It was a very surreal day when he asked her to marry him.

Before he asked her to marry him, though, he brought up a slight issue. She'd known that he had bloodist beliefs, and they'd discussed them at length. Naida didn't have his beliefs. Blood didn't matter to her, and she certainly didn't see any deterioration to society. Furthermore, she didn't really have that many problems with his personal beliefs. Everyone was entitled to their own ideas, and she was touched when she heard the story of his father. She felt he had so much rage and wanted to try to relieve him of it by giving him all that she was, so she accepted him as he accepted her. It was more than the best that she could do. He was everything she wanted, and so they married. From then on, she tended to keep a blind eye to his actions. She didn't ask him why he suddenly had to disappear or why he'd gone to the hospital or why there were new marks upon his body. She'd already seen the Mark and was actually rather terrified of it. But it seemed as though Braeden was devoted to her, and she did love him, and soon they had two children. He treated them with such love and affection that she couldn't bear to separate herself from him.

She was heartbroken when he was taken to Azkaban. She didn't believe it was a suitable place for anyone, much less her husband, but what could she do? In her heart she knew he was responsible for all of these things and that he should be punished. She visited him as often as possible and did her best to raise her children. She only spoke good things about her husband to them, and divorce was simply out of the question.

Time passed painfully but with certainty. She relied upon friends and family members, and she got by. Dorian and Alethea were quite grown when Braeden escaped from Azkaban and returned home. Naida was incredibly conflicted. She loved her husband, but she was also very fearful of him. She hoped that maybe they could be a family again without Voldemort to ruin their lives, but Braden made it quite clear that he was still loyal to Voldemort. Naida knew it was wrong, but she took Braeden back anyway. She just couldn't bear being separated from him, even after all of these years, and he showed her that he did still love her, as he gave her time to get used to the idea that he was back again. But just as soon as he was back, it seemed like he was gone again, and this time for good. He died at the Battle for Hogwarts in May of 1998, and to Naida, it felt like part of her soul had passed away with him.

She lived on, though. It was a lonely existence, but she never complained or felt sorry for herself. She loved her children and remained entirely devoted to them, and she prayed that they would learn the lesson of their father's life and subsequent death. She died in late 2020 at the age of 65 of a new wizarding disease.

THE SAMPLE
THIRD PERSON SAMPLE : Naida had given up on life. Whatever disease she had seemed to be taking over, and she'd long lost the will to fight against it. She had visitors, of course. Her son and daughter came in to see her occasionally and inquired about her health, but more than anything, she wanted to give them peace of mind. She wanted them to move on with their lives and be happy, so she accepted death peacefully.

It seemed as though she'd just given her last breath before she got pulled through a strange gateway into a quiet and almost entirely empty room. She gasped for breath and placed hand over her heart, which was still beating quite strongly. She looked around in confusion. What was this new place? What gateway had she just passed through? She looked down at her robes and then at a lone figure in the room. Without much hesitation, she crossed over to the person. "I do beg your pardon, but I'm afraid I'm somewhat confused. Where am I?" she inquired.

SUPPORT : Undecided. All she knows for certain is that she does not support Voldemort, but she's hesitant to declare that, given her husband's position.

DISCLAIMER : Not Naida Jugson. Not Olivia Wilde. I don't own either one. Icons credited in comments. Banner is by misskittenpants@ij.
